Couples Therapy
Whether you’re navigating a transitional time together, finding yourselves at a stuck point or conflict, noticing a pattern you’d like to unpack, or simply looking for support in keeping things healthy, couples therapy can be hugely beneficial in helping you to achieve greater clarity and communication in your relationships.
So much gets stirred up in our most intimate relationships. Bringing your story to therapy together is a brave, vulnerable act, and my aim is always to create a space where everyone feels heard and seen and is able to access emotional safety. From here, we can look at what plays out between you, and we may find that through our work it starts to feel like there are more ways forward than you had previously imagined.
I strive to provide tools and to facilitate ways of relating that you can take with you in your relationship outside of the therapy room.
Monika Mehan, RP(Q)
I am trained in couples therapy and foundations of sex therapy, and welcome people in all types of relationships in my practice. I am comfortable working with straight or queer folks in all relationship configurations - monogamous relationships as well as polyamorous or open relationships. I am also able to see platonic dyads/groups, colleagues, family members - anyone who is looking to improve their relationship to one another is welcome.
My fee for couples sessions is generally $170 for an 80-minute session, but we can work together to find a structure that works best for your needs. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and book a consultation if you are interested in working together.
